    School Values and Ethos

Welcome to our website from Mrs Jane Garrett, Head Teacher, I hope you find everything you need here. Just like at our school, I hope you keep safe, learn and have fun whilst using it!

We are all so proud of our school!

We recently reflected upon what we wanted for our pupils. As you could imagine, this was a lengthy conversation as we all want the best for our children. We were inspired by one of our core ’L.E.A.R.N.’ values which states that we want children to Aspire & Achieve together. This really excited us and we have chosen to adopt this as our Mission Statement. Which is simply now, ‘Aspire & Achieve’.

ASPIRE: We believe that our children can be what ever they wish to be. We want them

to aim high and become members of society that really make a difference.

ACHIEVE : Our drive is to equip children with the skills that they

need to meet their academic & personal goals.

We are very proud of our children at Mundella Primary School and it is their futures that motivates us as a staff. We are all passionate about raising childrens' aspirations and equipping them with the skills they need to achieve in life.

How do we do this? We:

                Love Learning

                                                                               Aspire and Achieve together

                                                                                              New Experiences

We believe that by developing  core values of respect and loving learning together through new experiences, our children will be empowered to achieve.

Mundella Primary School is a community and all those directly connected (staff, governors, parents, families and pupils) have an essential role to play in making it safe and secure. Mundella Primary School recognises our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children.

Mundella Primary School recognises the importance of providing an ethos and environment within school that will help children to feel safe, secure and respected; encourage them to talk openly; and enable them to feel confident that they will be listened to. We are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and follow our procedures to ensure that children receive effective support, protection and justice.

    • Our school core safeguarding principles are:
      • It is a whole school responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children as its paramount concern
      • All children (defined as those up to the age of 18) regardless of age, gender, ability, culture, race, language, religion or sexual identity, have equal rights to protection
      • All children have a right to be heard and to have their wishes and feelings taken into account
      • All staff understand safe professional practice and adhere to our code of conduct and other associated policies
